Enabling expertise for a safer future.

The Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic (AOBP) plays a pivotal role in uniting companies involved in the research, development, production, trade, and marketing of defence and security equipment, materials, and services. Established in 1997, AOBP has become a respected partner to various government ministries and international organizations, advocating for the interests of its members in both domestic and global arenas.

Project Context
The core challenge was twofold — to redesign AOBP’s outdated website and to refresh its brand identity in a way that would carry across both public-facing platforms and internal tools. The goal was to build a digital presence that truly reflects AOBP’s mission: promoting the Czech defence industry as a reliable and innovative partner.

Website: Built for Flexibility and Clarity
The new website was designed with modularity and clarity at its core. It offers a streamlined, user-friendly interface that makes key information — from industry news to member services — easy to access. The structure allows for ongoing updates and content expansion, supporting the dynamic needs of the organization and its members.

Components
As part of the transformation, a core internal application used by AOBP members was also redesigned. The app’s interface was aligned with the new website to ensure a unified experience across all touchpoints — reinforcing trust, usability, and the new visual language of the brand.

Restructuring industry categories
As part of our strategic consultation, we recommended a complete restructuring and renaming of the industry categories that AOBP connects. The previous naming conventions lacked clarity and failed to capture the breadth and diversity of the sectors represented. Our goal was to create a taxonomy that better reflected the organization's international scope and multifaceted membership. This new structure was integrated into the broader SEO and marketing strategies, resulting in clearer messaging and stronger search performance. Given the nature of AOBP’s work—bridging companies within the defense and security sectors—it was essential to strike a balance in the brand language: projecting strength, authority, and unity, while steering clear of overtly aggressive or militaristic tones. This nuanced positioning helped reinforce credibility and appeal, particularly in sensitive geopolitical contexts.
